Meet Coach Duane, a dedicated member of the Gala FC family. First joined the club as a parent before stepping onto the field as a coach, now in his second season with Gala, Coach Duane continues to support the club in many ways. This year, he serves as an assistant coach for the U15 (2010) Red team alongside Coach TJ, helping guide and support players during an important stage of their development.

A passionate supporter of Liverpool, Coach Duane greatly admires the legendary Pelé (Edson Arantes do Nascimento), one of the most iconic figures in the history of the game. His favorite jersey number is 44.

While his soccer coaching journey is just beginning, Coach Duane brings valuable coaching experience from youth football, where he proudly won two championships in three years. His competitive spirit and commitment to developing young athletes continue to shape his approach on the soccer field.

Coach Duane dreams of one day witnessing Liverpool play live, experiencing the passion and atmosphere of the club he supports.

For Coach Duane, football is simple and powerful—“Football is life,” as famously said in Ted Lasso. That philosophy reflects the joy and dedication he brings to the game.

Beyond the field, Coach Duane has been a tremendous support to the Gala community, helping with communication and always stepping up wherever the club needs assistance.

According to Coach Duane, the most important traits of a successful soccer player are being coachable and having a strong desire to learn and grow. With that mindset, he continues to support and encourage players to develop both on and off the field.
