A lifelong Barcelona fan and admirer of Messi's magic on the pitch, Coach Maya brings a passion for the game that's contagious. Her favorite jersey numbers, 9 and 4, reflect her respect for both the goal-scoring greats and rock-solid defenders of the sport.

 Since joining Gala FC two years ago, Coach Maya has shown the same grit on the sidelines as she did on the field while playing semi-pro last year. Her proudest coaching moment? Transforming a team from a string of losses to a season of triumphs. For Coach Maya, "Soccer is fun!"—and she makes sure every player feels that way too.
